The position
<\/strong>
For the growth of company, we are looking Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team (Location: Costa Rica or country with similar time zone to Costa Rica +\/- 1 hour).
It's a full-time position for candidates in either Latin America or Eastern Europe, willing to work with at least 3 hours of overlap with Eastern Europe office hours (check what time it is in Bulgaria, for instance, and compare to your own to see what's the difference)<\/p>

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>

  • Ensure that deployment instructions and scripts provided by the development teams are clear and complete.<\/li>
  • Ensure that documentation of new systems\/components is complete including flow of information charts and troubleshooting steps.<\/li>
  • Plan releases into the staging and production environment<\/li>
  • Execute releases into the staging and production environment<\/li>
  • Deploy and configure full application stack (OS, DB, 3rd part software)<\/li>
  • Perform basic systems management tasks in staging and production<\/li>
  • Severity 1 and Severity 2 incident management including triage, troubleshooting and in some cases the resolution<\/li>
  • When applicable, documenting Incident\u2019s RCAs, workaround, resolution, mitigation etc<\/li>
  • Maintaining a knowledgebase and systems documentation<\/li>
  • Defining alarms and monitoring<\/li>
  • Monitoring<\/li><\/ul>


    Your background & requirements<\/strong><\/p>

    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience<\/li>
    • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps \/ Development \/ IT role<\/li>
    • 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role<\/li>
    • Experience with Windows, Linux and FreeBSD operating systems<\/li>
    • Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, SVN, GIT, PowerShell<\/li>
    • Experience with Microsoft IIS<\/li>
    • Curiosity to explore new ideas and passion to make them happen<\/li>
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills<\/li>
    • Extremely attentive to detail, organized and process focused<\/li>
    • Dynamic and innovative, with excellent communication skills<\/li>
    • Fluent in English (C1 at least)<\/li>
    • Experience working in an Agile Development environment<\/li>
    • You are located in either Latin America, or Eastern Europe<\/li>
    • You can work EST (Eastern Time) office hours, having at least 3 hours of overlap per day with the rest of the team.<\/li><\/ul>


      Nice to haves and pluses<\/strong><\/p>

      • Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, CouchDB, Couchbase, RabbitMQ is an advantage<\/li>
      • Experience in different deployment types (Blue\/Green, A\/B testing, Canary)<\/li>
      • Experience with Microservice system architecture is an advantage<\/li><\/ul>
