Senior DevOps Engineer

Is based in San Jose (Costa Rica), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Belgrade (Serbia As the business grows, is seeking to expand it bright and talented people who are passionate about the software industry.

The position

For the growth of company, we are looking Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team (Location: Costa Rica or country with similar time zone to Costa Rica +/- 1 hour).
It's a full-time position for candidates in either Latin America or Eastern Europe, willing to work with at least 3 hours of overlap with Eastern Europe office hours (check what time it is in Bulgaria, for instance, and compare to your own to see what's the difference)

Responsibilities

• Ensure that deployment instructions and scripts provided by the development teams are clear and complete.
• Ensure that documentation of new systems/components is complete including flow of information charts and troubleshooting steps.
• Plan releases into the staging and production environment
• Execute releases into the staging and production environment
• Deploy and configure full application stack (OS, DB, 3rd part software)
• Perform basic systems management tasks in staging and production
• Severity 1 and Severity 2 incident management including triage, troubleshooting and in some cases the resolution
• When applicable, documenting Incident’s RCAs, workaround, resolution, mitigation etc
• Maintaining a knowledgebase and systems documentation
• Defining alarms and monitoring
• Monitoring

Your background & requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Development / IT role
• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role
• Experience with Windows, Linux and FreeBSD operating systems
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, SVN, GIT, PowerShell
• Experience with Microsoft IIS
• Curiosity to explore new ideas and passion to make them happen
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Extremely attentive to detail, organized and process focused
• Dynamic and innovative, with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English (C1 at least)
• Experience working in an Agile Development environment
• You are located in either Latin America, or Eastern Europe
• You can work EST (Eastern Time) office hours, having at least 3 hours of overlap per day with the rest of the team.

Nice to haves and pluses

• Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, CouchDB, Couchbase, RabbitMQ is an advantage
• Experience in different deployment types (Blue/Green, A/B testing, Canary)
• Experience with Microservice system architecture is an advantage
